Ethan with a bass and Mallory wants to touch it.  I think bass have to be 16" long to be legal.  You know Mallory's happy, she's on a boat, it's moving and she gets to touch a fish every now and then.

OH, please tell me Ben's eating peas.

Mallory gets what I call "bug eyed" when she gets bit by a bug.  I would guess a skeeter but she swells up and it gets red.  Doesn't bother her at all, but it sure looks bad.

BJ with a nice crappie.  I would guess 11 inches long.  We are fishing our favorite shoreline, a shorline with no boat docks.  We plan to try our "system" around docks and see if it catches fish around them.

Brian with a little bigger crappie.  Looks to be getting a little late in the morning and boat traffic is about to start up.  Time to get off the lake when the big boats start running around.  We were fishing near the end of this shoreline and we heard this rumbling and howling and couldn't figure out what it was.  As it got closer we were looking at each other and suddenly these two 40+ ft cigar boats came roaring around the point at full speed racing.  These boats are equipped with two or three 454 or larger engines per boat and the exhaust is above water so they are very loud.  These boats were doing well over 70 mph and the sound was deafening.  I feel boats like those are pretty much worthless but I do have to admit it was impressive to see and hear.

Darn it, I made the picture as big as I could so you might be able to see the fish.  Now this doesn't even come close to the smallest fish caught, Brent holds that record with a 3" fish caught on a 2" lure.  So, in reality this is a huge fish, right Brent?

Doesn't have anything to do with fishing or boats, but Ben's so cute I couldn't resist putting him on the site.

This must be an older picture, the fire pit is now on the other side of the stepping stones.  Ethan tends the fire, I tend Mallory and were just enjoying a smoke storm.  Give Ethan some wood and a fire and he will burn it all.  He is careful and wants to be a fireman when he grows up.

BJ with Mallory when she was a baby, she's a big girl now.   Check out the cuffs on those pants, if I do that I catch heck, and now you see where I get it from.  I wish I could see if he has slippers on, if he did he would be ready to go to the hardware store.

Ethan and Mallory like to feed the ducks.  We have floating fish food that we feed the fish with but the ducks have learned that when they hear the pellets hitting the water, it's dinner time.
